Avera PACE
Avera PACE, a division of Avera Health, is a regional group purchasing and services organization.
Our strength lies in the commitment of our membership, which includes healthcare, education and other community based organizations.
Avera PACE was incorporated in 1977 as a group purchasing organization, although it had already been operating informally in this capacity for nearly 30 years. Although group purchasing is still the core of our business, we recognize the potential generated by sharing mutual concerns and have expanded through the years to also offer Locum Tenens services and developed a product called Anesthesia Labels. We are a regional organization focused on providing services for hospitals, clinics, surgical centers, long term care facilities, and schools in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and North Dakota.
In 1996 Avera Health became a shareholder in Premier, one of the nation’s largest healthcare group purchasing organizations. As a division of Avera Health, Avera PACE is able to offer Premier membership to healthcare facilities at very competitive membership fees. Using regional distributors, we combine the volume of our group to offer competitive prices along with personal representation. It is our goal to help our members control costs while maintaining quality care and services.
Mission
Avera PACE is a service business supporting the needs of metro and rural communities through qualified competent staff. Working in collaboration with Avera Health, members are provided access to cost effective contracts and services.
